Cognitus and our partners Isee Systems Inc provide a full range of introductory and advanced training programmes in support of systems thinking and system dynamics and - specifically - in support of iThink and STELLA simulation tools.

These offerings range across self-learning programmes (webinars), introductory group workshops and one-to-one training (introductory and advanced).

Online training  - Self-learning programmes (Webinars)

Get started with the technical modelling skills required. This is self-paced, individual tuition in downloadable "webinars" (recorded training sessions with illustrated models) and accompanying homework tutorials.

These low cost and "off the peg" webinars are an ideal starting point for newcomers.

Cognitus introductory training - Systems Thinking and Business Modelling

For more intensive and/or tailored training, Cognitus offers introductory workshops for individuals and groups.

Our flagship programme, System Thinking and Business Modelling with iThink (STBM) has been delivered for nearly two decades to over 3000 managers, planners and analysts in UK and Europe. STBM is a fully flexible programme that can be tailored to specific interests and needs.

The basic STBM programme involves two days intensive introductory training, with additional modules available to meet specific interests.  The 3-day public STBM programme includes an additional day for students to experience a complete strategy simulation project.

More advanced training and personal development in system dynamics: The Cognitus Programme

In recognition that short-course training is only a starting point to becoming a competent practitioner in system dynamics, Cognitus offers organisations and individuals the Cognitus Programme - a progressive learning and support programme.

The Programme is based on a calibrated and complete competence framework that enables each learner to set clear development goals. Each developing practitioner bases their learning around real projects that they conduct in their own organisations. Cognitus provides the competence framework, the learning materials and the support - for as long as required.
